Repainting of Nave Ceiling
Work Finished
Picture, REpainted Ceiling
Work to repaint the nave ceiling has finished, the scaffolding dismantled and Services back to normal.

We were very lucky; we knew there was a problem in one corner and several cracks all over, so were worried that other faults would be found needing expensive repairs, but the faulty corner was easily repaired and no other major defects were found.

The ceiling hadn't been painted for about 50 years and had become blotchy which, apart from looking a mess, was reducing the light level as the nave is lit by lights shining upwards and reflecting off the ceiling. The fresh white surface has made a small but noticeable difference.

Many thanks to all who contributed to our fund-raising campaign and to the organisations that generously gave us grants, so the work has been fully paid for.
